En este art\u00edculo, analizaremos m\u00e1s de cerca estas dos afecciones, compararemos la esclerosis m\u00faltiple con la de Guillain Barr\u00e9 y las contrastaremos, y discutiremos los beneficios de la terapia con c\u00e9lulas madre como opci\u00f3n de tratamiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Esclerosis m\u00faltiple (EM)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La esclerosis m\u00faltiple (EM) es un trastorno autoinmune cr\u00f3nico que afecta al sistema nervioso central (SNC). El sistema inmunitario ataca la cubierta protectora alrededor de las fibras nerviosas llamada vaina de mielina, lo que provoca inflamaci\u00f3n y da\u00f1o. Este da\u00f1o puede interferir con la transferencia de se\u00f1ales el\u00e9ctricas entre el cerebro y el cuerpo, lo que resulta en una amplia gama de s\u00edntomas que var\u00edan de persona a persona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los s\u00edntomas de la EM incluyen problemas de visi\u00f3n, debilidad y rigidez muscular, dificultad con la coordinaci\u00f3n y el equilibrio, fatiga, entumecimiento y sensaci\u00f3n de hormigueo, y deterioro cognitivo. En el SGB, el sistema inmunitario ataca los nervios, lo que provoca debilidad muscular y par\u00e1lisis. A diferencia de la esclerosis m\u00faltiple, la vaina de mielina no suele verse afectada en el SGB.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los s\u00edntomas del SGB pueden incluir hormigueo y entumecimiento en las manos y los pies, debilidad muscular que comienza en las piernas y se extiende a la parte superior del cuerpo, dificultad con la coordinaci\u00f3n y el equilibrio, y dificultad con los movimientos faciales, como hablar, masticar y tragar.
