What to Expect During Your HBOT Session at Renovo
HBOT at Renovo is a comfortable, non-invasive procedure. Here is what a typical session looks like at our Tijuana clinic:
- You enter the hyperbaric chamber and recline comfortably for the duration of your session.
- The chamber is slowly pressurized to the prescribed level — you may notice mild pressure in your ears, similar to the sensation during an airplane descent. Swallowing or yawning equalizes pressure easily.
- You breathe 100% medical-grade oxygen through a mask or hood throughout the session.
- Most sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your treatment protocol.
- At the end of the session, the chamber depressurizes gradually and you exit feeling relaxed. Many patients report a sense of clarity and energy following HBOT.
Side effects are rare and typically mild. Some patients experience temporary ear fullness or slight lightheadedness during or after a session. Dr. Jiménez and our medical team review each patient’s health history prior to beginning an HBOT program to ensure suitability and establish the appropriate pressure and session parameters.
